One on One Sessions

One on one shooting sessions with a certified firearms instructor can be great for new gun owners, or even more experienced shooters. Some can’t diagnose their own possible errors when training, and others may want more advanced work to elevate their skillset. We work from the fundamental foundation UP. If you would like someone to be able to instruct you through basic marksmanship fundamentals as well as run drills to test your abilities and improve skills where necessary, booking one on one sessions are a great option.

D.R.A.W. Basic Firearms Training Course

A basic training course consisting of firearm SAFETY, the anatomy of a firearm and how they work, Marksmanship FUNDAMENTALS, and practical and tactical use of firearms.

This Course is great for anyone who doesn’t need a license or permit at the moment, but still want to learn more about firearms, firearm safety, and build on skills to make them a better marksman.

D.R.A.W. Skill Development Course

This 4-hour Skill Development Handgun Course is for students who have already been through formal handgun training. Basic working knowledge of firearms, firearm safety, and basic shooting fundamentals are a prerequisite- safety is paramount! We will be reinforcing all of the safety principles that we teach in our basic classes. Many shooters take firearm classes and then allow a substantial amount of time to pass before they continue training. Being a perishable skill, safe gun handling must be practiced and reinforced. This class is an affordable, safe, and moderately-paced opportunity for the new(ish) shooter to learn, ask questions, and make mistakes in a guided and safe environment.

We will instruct on the following:

- Safe gun handling skills

- Dry Fire Drills

- Balancing Speed and Accuracy

- Reactionary Targets

- Transitioning Targets

Critical Safety Rules: If you cannot maintain trigger finger discipline (keeping your finger off of the trigger until you are on target and ready to shoot the gun)- this class if NOT for you. If you cannot maintain muzzle discipline while manipulating your gun (not pointing the muzzle at anything you don’t intend to shoot- this course is NOT for you. If you cannot comfortably manipulate your handguns in loading, racking the slide, engaging the slide lock, and loading your magazines- this class is NOT for you. If you can do all of the above and you’re ready to take the next step in your training, we encourage you to sign up for this course! Class Fees: The Intermediate Handgun Class fee is $150.00 per person. An additional range fee of $70 will be collected at the range, by Black Alpha range representatives. What is included: We will provide ear and eye protection, although students are encouraged to bring their own if they have them. We also provide 50 rounds of ammunition. You are encouraged to bring your own handgun, and a holster is not required for this course. For those who do not own a handgun, we will offer the use of our handguns at no additional charge. Students are welcome to bring additional ammunition or purchase additional ammunition at the range. If you will need to purchase ammo at the range, please advise so we can have it on hand.
